when you wake up in the morning and you've got that funny feeling in your mouth get a glass of tap water luke warm tap water if you forgot to lick the lead paint off the walls and eat it when you were a child there's always glass of tap water luke warm tap water goes down your pipes as smoothly as a glass of liquid draino scabs on the sides of your tongue and makes your fingers tingle bacteria bacteria so small bacteria so small you don't know what they're called bacteria bacteria

Easy 02:22
you could help me build this building you could help me find the words you could help me fit this whole into a picture of a place for all the things that you deserve it could come so easy now with a little effort and two more hands to make the spinning slow a little and the hammer's din a thing to tell the time you could take the hammer and hit the head build the vessels to carry over hidden points and draw away the dirty water strange how it could be so easy

Crabman 02:08
little clippers blue and grey won't make it through another day and the bottom of a big old wooden basket stinking in that ice-y bed cold and dark I've heard it said when the silver doors close like a watery casket crabman don't let them pincers bite today although the taste of them is sweet steaming flakey tender meat from the ocean floor to your back door inna paper bag crabman has a song he sings a ballad to his favorite things like a soft shell mess in a newspaper nest and a fishy rag
5.
Glasses 01:50
I can't remember a time that felt as nice as searching through the grass so green you lost your glasses from the basket on your sister's bike and you cried because you couldn't leave I can't remember a time that felt as nice as flying through the trees and leaves up above your head I watched you curse my name you said I left you there all alone my mom called me home my mother called my name a name that was my own you looked so angry there so blind and red because I left you all alone

Flo 2 03:11
the males of the clan of chimpanzees which Flo and her children had left became stricken with polio swinging from the jungle trees with paralyzed limbs and nursing their wounds which they received by the paws of a neighboring clan from the north who would beat them in outnumbered fights 5 sometimes 6 against 1 they bullied their neighbors the females grew uneasy one of which was related to Flo the took up the horrible practice she began at first to eat her own babies and then one by one she beat off the defending mothers and eating their children she looked at them sadly like she had no choice against the madness which took her like the illness which crippled her mates

things been coming up wrong since she left here the last time 2 weeks ago time is moving on small and the lightbulb in the hall is not my own somebody stole my orange 76 ball off my car antenna yesterday there's a fucked up hole in the floorboards by my bed now staring up at me I'm finding her threads of ending like the circle made of salt there in the corner like the teeth inside my pill jar and the new mole on my neck and the piece of paper with an X drawn in its place somebody stole my orange 76 ball off my car antenna yesterday my room is cold and the walls are pressing close to call the end of me one by one they'll vanish the pieces of my life slip here to nowhere she's taken up to practice to feed the snakes that live inside my bones somebody stole my orange 76 ball off my car antenna yesterday and I think she's got it now tangled up in strings from far away
10.
I seen you from the window your arms all bent akimbo a sharp silhouette and a pocket full of matches broken chairs and leaves and a jug of gasoline I'm coming down the stairs and the daylight is receding there's a fire out front big and quiet and angry and eating it all slowly with the smoke going off low standing still with the dusk behind you the chill splits you in two with the fire out in front you cant fight it its bigger than everything you cant stop it its stronger than everything and the smell of it feels like a lullaby
11.
Pigeons 01:11
all the angry wings are beating all the broken beaks are bleeding all the birds of god are seething stones that come alive poking out your eyes

there's things that are written on the arches of the sky there are overturned cars and broken things and rust there are endless piles of garbage and fire and there is the end of things there's the most beautiful things living like ghosts while the cruelest things stiffen up in your home and the lines in between become harder to see when there is the end of things there's love and its pockets and its places to live the sharp silhouette against memory's tricks there's things to remember as the narrowing continues when there is the end of things

about

Banding together in May of 1995, Baldielocks began to hack at the country pie with a rusty knife as it spun at 78rpm. Their subject in song range from lost glasses to flys-eye descriptions of an ordinary day; from true story tragedies in the lives of monkey and man to instrumental scores for breaking toys. Carl's guitar twangs and howls alternately as it casts out unwanted demons, Dylan plays like a thick rubbery hangover, and Yen chops up rhythms while reinventing the adding machine. On the top live two vocal harmonies tweaked in a vulcan nerve pinch. The mixture is a thick yet swiftly hyperactive and sparkly paste. Bon appetite.
